Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week I wanted to write something obvious, but at the same time is so very important for children in the Early Years and Primary school sections. I know that the three points I talk about below are certainly not perfect in my house, but as I write this it makes me think and return to what is important at home, makes learning and communicating more successful.

1. Make time to talk about school – I remember my very experienced counsellor telling me off once when he was at my house and my daughter came home from school. I asked. How was school? My daughter said ‘fine’. And then went to change her He said that is not a question, you needto specific – ask about lunch, writing, mathematics, friends, PE mix up the questions that needs your child to think and respond. It’s usually easy to talk with elementary students about what’s going on in class and the latest news at school. You probably know what books your child is reading and are familiar with the math being worked on. But, parents can get busy and forget to ask the simple questions, which can have an effect on children’s success at school. So do make sure to make time to talks so he or she knows that what goes on at school is important to you. When kids know parents are interested in their academic lives, they’ll take school seriously as well. Because communication is a two-way street, the way you talk and listen to your child can influence how well your child listens and responds. It’s important to listen carefully, make eye contact, and avoid multitasking while you talk. Be sure to ask questions that go beyond “yes” or “no” answers. Besides during family meals, good times to talk include car trips), walking the dog, preparing meals, or standing in line at a store. These early years of schooling are an important time for parents to be informed and supportive about their child’s education and to set the stage for children to develop and grow as young learners.

2. Organizational Skills – When kids are organized, they can stay focused instead of spending time hunting things down and getting sidetracked. What does it mean to be organized at the elementary For schoolwork, it means having what is needed for school talk to your child about keeping his or her school things tidy and easy to reach. So parents teach your child how to use a calendar or personal planner to help stay organized. It’s also helpful to teach your child how to make a to-do list to help prioritize and get things done. It can be as simple as: eat, change, soccer, put clothes away.
3. Sleep – We know sleep is important for all of us. Research tells us that when we are tired we function less well and our memories are less It’s the same for adults but we seem to be able to function much better than children. Kids also need sleep to be alert and ready to learn all day. Most school-age kids need 10 to 12 hours of sleep a night. Bedtime difficulties can arise at this age for a variety of reasons. Homework, sports, after-school activities, TVs, computers, and video games, as well as hectic family schedules, can contribute to kids not getting enough sleep. Lack of sleep can cause irritable or hyperactive behavior and might make it hard for kids to pay attention in class. It’s important to have a consistent bedtime routine, especially on school nights. Be sure to leave enough time before bed to allow your child to unwind before lights out and limit stimulating diversions like TV phone tablet and laptop.

Having written this, it reminds me about stopping my daughter from being on her iPad an hour before she goes to bed. She does not like that idea but I am winning, slowly.

Tesla News

To proactively prevent HFMD (hand, foot, and mouth disease). At the school Assembly earlier this week, students were taught about the symptoms of the disease, how to recognize, and prevent the disease.

CLASS

In this week, Tesla students had joined the Middle Autumn Festival.

Phu Nhuan Campus came to join the Middle Autumn Festival with their friends in Tan Binh Campus.

Beside, the teachers was held a private Full Moon party for Phu Nhuan Campus’s students.

Playing but not forget to learn! A few weeks ago, Ms.Dien has introduced to 3rd Grade students some famous building structure on the world. Then 3rd Grade choose to draw “Rong house” – a typical type of house in the Central Highlands.

This week, they’ve done their pictures. 3rd Grade students so excited and can’t wait to hang it on the new gallery walls in front of the AO Office. The best pictures belong to Huynh Minh Dang, Lam Minh Khoi and Tran Minh Khoi.

“Drawing a part of a huge photo” pictures of 4th Grade students will be done soon. So they could hang it on the gallery wall. Parents can see your children’s pictures on the gallery wall in front of the AO Office.

NEWS

Circular 28 issued by the Ministry of Education and Training on the regulations of primary schools has the following content:

• Teachers are allowed to develop teaching plans actively.
• Each classroom should have its bookcase, creative corner for students.

• Term 1 will end on 14th Students will have two days off from school (15th and 16th October) before starting term two on 19th October, 2020.
• The school can not implement After-school activities on Mondays and Fridays for Primary students because the number of registered students is not sufficient to open classes
• Drop off time: To ensure the safety of students, please bring the card with you when pi cking up your child at school.
